Melissa Simon has been an officer with Humble Police Department since 2003. Officer Simon served in the United States Army and obtained the rank of Sergeant. While in the service to her country she was deployed to the war in Iraq, in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Officer Simon received an honorable discharge from the United States Army in 2008. She graduated in November of 2008 from the National Forensic Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. In April of 2009 she became a Certified Crime Scene Investigator with the International Association of Identification (IAI). Officer Simon serves the department as a crime scene investigator, while also performing patrol duties on night shift
