Officer David Meyers

Officer Meyers is a graduate of the North Harris County College Police Academy. In July 2000 only two months after graduating from the police academy he began his Law Enforcement Career with the Humble Police Department. For the next five (5) years he worked as a Patrol Officer assigned to second watch /evening shift, 2pm till 10 pm. Then in June of 2005, he was selected to serve the city and the department as the Community Service / DARE Coordinator. As the Community Service Coordinator, some of his primary duties were to coordinate and host two Citizens Police Academies each year, instruct the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) in various schools in the Humble area, coordinate community events, and oversee the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Organization.

Officer Meyers is certified as a TCLEOSE Instructor; Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Instructor, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner, Accident Investigator, Citizen Police Academy Coordinator, and is a certified Breath Test (Intoxilyzer) Operator. Officer Meyers currently holds an Advanced Police Officer certification.
