Ms. Garza was employed part-time in May, 2008 as the communications supervisor and began full-time with the Humble Police Department in October, 2008.

Prior to her employment with Humble, she was a Harris County Deputy Sheriff in various assignments including working the jail, first female process server in County and District Courts, undercover narcotic investigations assigned to Harris County Organized Crime Task Force and ended her career with fifteen years of undercover narcotic investigations assigned to the Houston High Intensity Drug Task Force (HIDTA) with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Texas Department of Public Safety Methamphetamine Initiative (MIG) Group dismantling clandestine Methamphetamine labs in a fifteen county area. These cases included long-term investigations of major narcotic trafficking and traveling all over the United States.

Ms. Garza has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership and is currently attending University of Houston to Obtain a Masters Degree in Criminology.

Ms. Garza is married to a Houston Police Officer and has five children (all grown).
