Telecommunicator

The Humble Police Department is currently accepting applications for Full time and Part time Telecommunicator positions. 

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent.  Must be able to pass a polygraph exam, psychological exam, physical and drug screen, and applicants will undergo a comprehensive background investigation.  No college, prior experience, or state license is required at the time of hire.  Training will be provided and prior experience is preferred.

Salaries for a full time Telecommunicator are based on a step program and begin at $2480 per month the first year increasing to a maximum of $3476 per month after 6 years.  Other benefits include paid hospitalization, ten to twenty five vacation days depending on tenure, Texas Municipal Retirement System, Disibility benefit plan, longevity pay, incentive pay for specialized job skills, and TCLEOSE certification pay. 

Part time positions are paid $12.83 hour and are limited to 1000 hours a year.  None of the full time benefits apply to these positions.  Part time employees are eligible to move into open full time positions when they become available.
