ERNIE MARTIN, Training and Personnel Coordinator: Ernie Martin was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1986, and was honorably discharged in 1993 returning to Houston to seek a career as a police Officer.

Upon completion of the police academy, Ernie began police work as a deputy for Galveston County for 5 years. He became interested in computers during that time, and pursued various certifications in Microsoft networking, so he gave 5 years to Computer Network Administration. However, police work was still important to him, therefore he maintained his license, serving as a reserve for the North Harris Montgomery County College System.

Ernie started as a patrol officer with the Humble Police Department in 2005. He obtained his Master Police Officer status, and completed various trainings and certifications to qualify to teach. He has taught various classes for Humble P.D. such as Basic Instructor, PowerPoint, Basic Computers, Traffic Crash Investigation, Crisis Intervention Training, and many more. Ernie was placed in the traffic division for a year and is now is in his current position as the training and personnel coordinator for Humble Police Department.

Ernie obtained his Associate Degree in Microsoft Networking and is continuing his education with Mid Western University. He currently serves as an MA2 in the U.S. Navy Reserves, as well as serving the community of Humble.
