Officer Joseph Culp

Officer Joseph Culp currently has more than ten years experience as a Police Officer. He acquired prior law enforcement
experience when he was employed as a deputy by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and later the Liberty County Sheriff’s
Office. Officer Culp rose to the rank of Sgt. Investigator while employed at the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.
Officer Culp has currently acquired more than 2800 TCLEOSE training hours. And in addition to this, he currently possesses
an advanced Peace Officer's License. He is a Certified Crime Scene Analyst through the International Association for
Identification (I.A.I.). Officer Culp served his country in the United States Army, as Radio Operator and was
deployed to the war zone in Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Officer Culp received an Honorable Discharge from the
United States Army in 2006. Upon his return from Iraq and his discharge from active military duty, Officer Culp was able
to return to his law enforcement career.
Officer Culp has been employed with the Humble Police Department since July of 2006. He had the distinct privilege of
becoming the first Officer from the Humble Police Department to attend the intense, ten (10) week long “National Forensic Academy”
in Knoxville, Tennessee. Officer Culp currently serves the department as a Crime Scene Investigator, while also
performing patrol duties, on night shift.
