Sergeant Melinda Bradshaw

Sergeant Melinda Bradshaw began her career in Law Enforcement in 1994 when she was employed by the Humble Police Department. During her years of dedication to the City of Humble she has received over 3000 hours in law enforcement training earning her a Master Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education.

In addition, Sergeant Bradshaw has international policing experience serving her country in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer from 1986 to 1989. During that time, she was stationed in the United States as well as South Korea.

Sergeant Bradshaw worked as the School Resource Officer for Humble High School from September 1997 until October 2000 when she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. She is currently assigned to the patrol services division where she is responsible for administrating the operational functions of the day shift patrol officers. Other responsibilities include planning of strategic enforcement efforts, directing emergency response procedures, daily review of all written reports generated within the patrol division and various other administrative type duties. Sgt. Bradshaw has played a crucial role in the development of the current Humble Police Department Policy Manual. She is a certified Police Instructor as well as a Hostage Negotiator.

In 2001, Melinda graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Houston where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.
